Millions who have never taught remotely were asked to step into the role of online educator and coach—despite many of them not having any formal training in online instruction or technology troubleshooting. Further complicating matters is the reality that many school-based employees face their own challenges—from providing childcare from home, to caring for sick family and friends, to navigating the social and emotional pitfalls presented by a months-long lockdown.
